Description: An electronic contact probe is a manual water level measurement devices used in wells to measure groundwater level. The probe is typically attached to a long spool of measurement tape/cable. The probe is lowered into the well and will send a signal when the probe comes into contact with the water level. The distance can be read on the tape or seen on a display screen that comes with the probe. Water level contact probes have a wide range of measurement capabilities from a few meters to roughly 750m.
These sensors are often used to establish a groundwater depth or check the accuracy of a submersible pressure transducer
Costs USD Lower: $1,000
Costs USD Upper: $2,000
Accessories: ACCESSORIES
Advantages: The contact probe is great for making hand held measurements for groundwater level and checking the accuracy of submersible pressure transducers.
Disadvantages: Non recording measurement
