Description: Water temperature is measured by the same general electronics as air temperature, measuring resistance of a thermistor. As temperature changes, the resistance in the thermistor changes. This resistance correlates to temperature in Celsius, Fahrenheit or Kelvin. In the case of water temperature, the sensor has IP68 protection so that the sensor and cable can be entirely immersed in water. These sensors are generally very reliable.
